You do not need to dive in to experience the pleasantness of underwater world, it is enough to visit a unique Underwater Film Festival in Neum. This festival has included Neum on world map of cultural events of this sort.Film has the power to convey author’s feelings, and underwater films which are shown in Neum Underwater Festival delight with its quality and diversity as well as with richness of the underwater world, through the eyes of the artist. This year, festival will be held on August 23rd and 24th. There will be screened 18 films in official competition.
Awards are given in 6 categories: for best film, best camera / photography, best original music, best eco-friendly film, best BiH film. A special category is awarded as best film chosen by audience.
Film workshop which shows how creatively and safely to film underwater, will be held on August 24th 2024, and the applications for the authors of underwater films are open until July 20th 2024.
For the competition part of Neum Underwater Film Festival, organizers from Standard Associations say: “We are especially proud of the co-operation with the Croatian post d.o.o. Mostar and the creative team led by Ms Željka Šaravanja. She is the creator of beautiful postage stamp ready to be sent in country and abroad from July 18th 2024.
